Quick & Easy with the Big Shot
So I had to add a quick note to my daughter’s teacher this week, so rather than tear out a scrap of paper I did the the following instead:
- Went up to my Craft room (10 seconds)
- Took out a 1/2 sheet of cut Kraft colored cardstock (81/2 x 11 cut in half) – 2.5 seconds. It was already cut.
- Took a scrap sheet of Pink Pirouette cardstock (out of loose pieces box of cardstock) – 2.5 seconds. It was already scrap sized.
- Used the Stampin’ Up Top Note Bigz Die to cute a card base – (I left a piece uncut on the top so that I could use this as an open card than a full top note (20 seconds)
- Cut out 3 flowers from the Daisies Flower #2 Bigz Die using Pink Pirouette Cardstock (20 seconds)
- Adhere all 3 pieces of the Daisy#2 die (30 seconds) and attached a Kraft Corduroy button to Daisies Die ensemble (10 seconds)
- Attached and Tied Kraft Taffeta Ribbon to the top (20 seconds)
- Stamped bloom from the Bloomin Beautiful stamp set (10 Seconds)
So about 2 1/2 minutes to make a card. Simple and Quick?

this quicky RAWKS!!!
I love it! So pretty! m
I love the note and definitely need the daisy die. I do not completely understand the directions. Did you write on the back of the top note? Why did you not cut the entire note? So it is just the topnote embellished with the daisy?
Simple and Beautiful
Diana — there is a folded piece of cardstock that goes onto the topnote die, but not to the top of the die, or you’d have two separate cuts of the topnote, and not a folding card. If you only put the folded cards 7/8 of the way to the top of the die, then the sides and the bottom are cut, but not the top — so the card folds open then, just like a regular card.
Brilliant and quick — what a fabulous card! Dina you are so smart!
I saw many cards before cut like this….thanks to SCS I would have never learned to do this myself!
