Simply Adorned
Stampin’ Up released a beautiful new product less than a year ago and I didn’t see the beautiful value in it until this last convention and decided it was the most beautiful way to show off everything that means anything to you – in the form of simply adorned jewellery. Here’s my first sample and an announcement for my first class on August 26 at 7:00 at my home. Please send an email to d_anker@me.com to reserve your spot.
Here’s the info. for the class – On my Demo Business Website
Big Shot Square Scallop Bags
Today I made a couple of Stampin’ Up Square Scallop Bags and even managed to upload the photos to my Stampin’ Blog! The treat box I made for Elina – She will use the inside for the bitty trinkets she collects!!
Thanks For Looking!
I got the inspiration and directions from Chic’ n Scratch - a fabulous talented Stampin’ Up demo in USA!
Stampin Palooza – Toronto February 2010
Here are some samples of my presentation I did at the Stampin’ Palooza event here in Toronto! The theme of my presentation was “Inspired by attending SU Events”. The latest being the regional in Phoenix and that beautiful technique by Heather Cleveland – the eyelet border punch put through the crimper a few times and then stuck to a 1 3/4″ circle punch with double sided tape (or sticky sheet). Top it with a nice brad, some Sweet Pea felt leaf and every project was a hit.
I spoke of the benefits of being able to earn preview sets (the Sweet Treat set) and then got to show the attendees the projects we made as M&T’s at the regional Phoenix!
It was fun and scary and inspiring all at the same time.
The highlight of the weekend was picking up Linda Hansen and taking her to the top of the CN Tower.

Found My MoJo
I found my mojo and have at least 3 cards to proove it:
This the flower pot card (second one is the insert)
Insert to the Pot Card
This emboss water technique, some Haiku DSP, a scallop die and circle cutter make this one a simple yet beautiful card (I know its in the eyes of the beholder but my be-held eyes love it.
Both of these cards have pink pirouette, kiwi kiss paper.
I will post the receipe for both cards later tonight.
Quick & Easy with the Big Shot
So I had to add a quick note to my daughter’s teacher this week, so rather than tear out a scrap of paper I did the the following instead:
- Went up to my Craft room (10 seconds)
- Took out a 1/2 sheet of cut Kraft colored cardstock (81/2 x 11 cut in half) – 2.5 seconds. It was already cut.
- Took a scrap sheet of Pink Pirouette cardstock (out of loose pieces box of cardstock) – 2.5 seconds. It was already scrap sized.
- Used the Stampin’ Up Top Note Bigz Die to cute a card base – (I left a piece uncut on the top so that I could use this as an open card than a full top note (20 seconds)
- Cut out 3 flowers from the Daisies Flower #2 Bigz Die using Pink Pirouette Cardstock (20 seconds)
- Adhere all 3 pieces of the Daisy#2 die (30 seconds) and attached a Kraft Corduroy button to Daisies Die ensemble (10 seconds)
- Attached and Tied Kraft Taffeta Ribbon to the top (20 seconds)
- Stamped bloom from the Bloomin Beautiful stamp set (10 Seconds)
So about 2 1/2 minutes to make a card. Simple and Quick?
